“The Silence Between Us”
I still remember the day
you walked into my life
like a soft breeze on a summer night,
calm… gentle… unexpected.
And I,
a heart stitched with old scars,
somehow felt whole again.
You didn’t fix me —
you just sat beside the broken pieces
and made them feel seen.
But love,
love isn’t always loud.
Sometimes it leaves quietly —
like you did.
No storm,
no goodbye,
just silence that screamed louder
than any words ever could.
Now, I speak to your absence
more than I ever spoke to you.
I write poems you’ll never read,
cry tears you’ll never wipe,
and wait for a message
that will never arrive.
People say "move on,"
as if hearts have a switch.
But how do I forget someone
who lives in the pauses of every song,
in the spaces between my breaths?
You were not just a chapter,
you were the whole story
that ended mid-sentence.
